She is a film scholar and an assistant professor at the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The author of the monographs Inicjacje, tożsamość, pamięć. Kino niemieckie na przełomie wieków (2012), Obrazo-światy, dźwięko-przestrzenie. Kino Toma Tykwera (2016) and numerous publications, including translations from German, in collective volumes and journals. Editor of Kwartalnik Filmowy. Research interests: German film, transculturalism and minority narratives (with a particular focus on migration) in the context of filmmaking.
