Grynberg
A trained psychologist, he is also a writer and photographer. He is the author of the albums Many Women (2009) and Auschwitz. What am I doing here? (2010). His photographs have been exhibited almost all over the world. He has published collections of interviews Ocaleni z XX wieku (2012), Oskarżam Auschwitz. Opowieści rodzinne (2014), and Księga wyjścia (2018). He is also the author of two volumes of short stories: Poufne (2020), and I’d Like to Say Sorry, but There’s No One to Say Sorry To (2017) nominated for the Nike Literary Award and the Angelus Central European Literary Award, its American edition, translated by Sean Gasper Bye, was shortlisted for the National Jewish Book Awards 2022 and was the finalist for The Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature. In 2021, he made his directorial debut with the documentary film Proof of Identity produced by the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews . For years, he has been researching the issues and history of Polish Jews in the 20th century, asking himself and his interlocutors questions about what it is like to be a Jew in Poland and what it really means. He has been teaching personal history writing workshops for several years.
