A history professor/PhD working at the University of Warsaw, and a journalist and a columnist, he has been working for Polityka weekly since 1985. A member of the Polityka historical awards board, he has written numerous academic studies of the history of the twentieth century and many articles. In 2018, with Mariusz Janicki, he published a collection of articles Brat bez brata. Dokąd prowadzi Polskę Jarosław Kaczyński?. He is a regular contributor in TOK FM.
