Born in Poland, Adam Nalepa grew up in Germany, where he made his directorial debut with Thomas Bernhard&#8217;s <em>Comedian<\/em> at the D\u00fcsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. In 2007, on the occasion of the 80th birthday of G\u00fcnter Grass, he directed the world preview of <em>The Tin Drum<\/em> at the Wybrze\u017ce Theatre in Gda\u0144sk. Moreover, he did: <em>Un-Divine Comedy<\/em>, <em>The Witches of Salem<\/em>, <em>Mary Stuart<\/em> and <em>Pharaoh<\/em> among others in Gda\u0144sk. He collaborates with theatres in Poland and Germany. He directed <em>Ch\u0142opcy<\/em> (trans. <em>The<\/em> <em>Boys<\/em>) by Grochowiak at Krak\u00f3w&#8217;s Stary Theatre, Tomasz Man&#8217;s <em>Sex Machine<\/em> at Drama Laboratory at Warsaw, and <em>Ma\u0142y Ksi\u0105\u017c\u0119. Ko\u0144c\u00f3wka <\/em>(trans.<em> The Little Prince. The end<\/em>) based on Saint-Exup\u00e9ry&#8217;s novel as well as the Vocal-Acting Study diploma of Lorca&#8217;s <em>Krwawe Gody<\/em> (trans. <em>Bloody Mating<\/em>), both at the Musical Theatre at Gdynia. He recently collaborated with the Jaracz Theatre in Olsztyn (<em>Nasza Klasa<\/em> [trans. <em>Our Class<\/em>] by Tadeusz S\u0142obodzianek and <em>Kamie\u0144<\/em> (trans. <em>The Stone<\/em>) by Marius von Mayenburg) and he also directed a diploma called <em>Antigone. Oedipus <\/em>by Sophocles at the National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw. Nalepa is a co-founder and artistic director of the BOTO Theatre in Sopot, where he regularly stages (incl. <em>Green Man, Nord-Ost, Journey to Buenos Aires<\/em>). For 11 years, he has been co-creating the Festival and Artistic Residence of the Documentary Theatre <em>Sopot non-fiction<\/em> as one of the curators.\u00a0 He is a multiple winner of theatre awards, including the City of Sopot (Sopot Music 2014), Splendor Gedanensis, Gazeta Wyborcza&#8217;s Storm of the Year (2014). He has also been awarded three times the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship and three times the City of Gda\u0144sk for Staging of the Year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">pic. from the
